Year 5 & 6 children thoroughly enjoyed a day of Eco-Electricity workshops with Dr Gareth. The workshop was very practical with lots of hands on activities to engage and enthuse children but they were also given the time to discuss & reflect so that were well equipped with the scientific knowledge they needed to fully engage with the tasks set. We are looking forward to the next opportunity to invite Working Science back!

I just wanted to drop a quick line to say thanks for your [CPD] workshops on Monday. The feedback was really positive - people really thought they had taken away practical ideas from your sessions and said it had increased their enthusiasm and confidence.

I had organised a series of workshops at Castle Quay shopping centre and our day with Dr Gareth and Working Science was by far the most popular with the kids. The workshops were really well worked organised and led and kept the kids entertained and engaged for well over 1.5 hours each - I don't think the kids even realised they were learning! Would definitely recommend!!

Science Club

If you are interested in having an Afterschool Science Club in your school. Ask your school to get in touch with us.

Each week we do practical science experiments covering different aspects of science, from electricity generation to making slime and perfumes.

There is no lower limit to the number of children but 15 is a good manageable number of children in each session.

Our Afterschool Science clubs run for 1 hour after school one day a week.

Our afterschool clubs in Newick Primary, Shipbourne Primary, Claremont Primary and Buxted Primary Schools have all been well attended and enjoyed by the children.
